I went to my first Wondercon and i'll tell you. I was in bad shape. The Lucas Portfolio review was terrible. I was told that I should conform to industry standards and go back to school to learn more about professional concept art making. Otherwise, it's just a useless hobby. I was not able to go to the Aspen portfolio review due to the long line. I went to Comic Creators connection and got emails but almost no one emailed me back. The ones that emailed me back told me they didn't want to work with me. Wondercon could have been more fun if I had more money and I had my own hotel room but I didn't. It was painful to go back home due to my portfolio bag and walking far.
The only thing good to come out of Wondercon was Michael Turner's sketchbook and eating at Chevy's fresh Mex.
